2.1.5.4 Product Release Milestone
The primary objective is to transition the system from development into production, making it available to, and understood by, the end-user. The activities of this phase include training of the end-users and maintainers, and beta testing of the system to validate it against the end-users' expectations and the quality level set in the Inception phase.
FlowDx Goals
- Description of the FlowDx service of providing an automated method for processing data from a clinical flow cytometry assay.
- End-User Support Material - Materials that assist the end-user in learning, using, operating, and maintaining the product.
- Workflow document describing the process from submitting an assay to having an automated solution running at the client's lab. Collaborative Process Document
- Test Suite - A package-like artifact used to group collections of tests -- to sequence the execution of those tests and to provide a useful and related set of test log information from which test results can be determined.
- Implementation Elements - The physical parts that make up an implementation, including files and directories. They include software code files (source, binary, or executable), data files, and documentation files, such as online help files.
- Product Build - Complete in accordance with the product requirements. The final product should be useable by the customer. This would be implemented as a customized automated solution for each use case in the Project.
The primary evaluation criteria for the transition phase involve the answers to these questions:
- Can FlowDx find the populations of interest with high validity and reproducibility?
- Can FlowDx screen poorly prepared or errant samples?
- Is the user satisfied?
