Plan for Sharing Research Data

Tree Star's cooperative consortium FlowCAP [7.] has established an online repository of FCS data files and analysis records divorced from any subject’s identity. They form a database from which any interested party can draw -- to test and confirm their own experimental algorithms or other development goals.

Tree Star's finished research tool will be posted as open-source, so that interested parties can access and alter or augment the algorithms for their own purposes. In addition to the repository and reference functions, the FlowDx research tool will incorporate:

The ability to remotely build a quantified consensus of multiple manual-classification approaches.
Adjustable automated algorithms for the classification of new data (gating).
The ability to add new algorithms for application to data.
The ability to compare classification outcomes using a variety of metrics.
The ability to add novel comparison metrics.

In conclusion, not only will data be publicly shared, but the means to conduct new experiments and record and share results will also be publicly accessible.
